Larry Neese / Kenya Ministry Training Institute

Christ Covenant has supported Larry Neese and the Kenya Ministry Training Institute (KMTI) for over 10 years. The ministry was established in the late 1980s by Leroy and Judy Curtis with Harmon and Teri Parker. During their tenure, they developed a curriculum for training up pastors and built the facilities to house a school. The Neese’s took over the operation of KMTI from the Curtis’ in the late 1990s.

Larry has served KMTI faithfully over the past 14 years, teaching native pastors the Word of God and imparting Christian principals of leadership that they can take back and use to teach and lead converts in their own villages. Over a thousand pastors have graduated from KMTI so far, and those graduates have planted more than fifty churches.

Larry has turned over the daily operation of KMTI to George Wafula, an early KMTI graduate. Larry now coordinates the development for both KMTI and UMTI (Uganda Ministry Training Institute), which was established in 2008.
