WORSHIP TEAM AUDITIONS & APPLICATION
We are excited about your interest in serving on the Worship Team. Because ministering to the heart of the Lord is our highest calling, we want to build the Worship Team with thoughtful intention and care in order to sustain it for years to come. Therefore, we have a process of coming onto the Worship Team. The goal is not simply to fill positions on teams but rather to build quality sets and teams like King David built.
There were two hundred eighty-eight of these men, and all of them were skilled musicians. David assigned them their duties by asking the Lord what he wanted. Everyone was responsible for something, whether young or old, teacher or student. – 1 Chronicles 25:7 & 8
GUIDELINES & REQUIREMENTS:
CALLING:
o It is important for team members to feel called and anointed to serve.
o Each team member should be a born-again believer living a Christian lifestyle both publicly and privately.
o Team members are worshipers on and off the platform…do you worship at home, in the car? Worship born out of love for Jesus and not based on feelings, circumstances, etc.
TALENT & SKILL:
o Members should have enough skill to play/sing the songs and worship at the same time.
o Are you teachable? Our hearts should be open to receive advice and correction when it is needed. In addition, we should be committed to ongoing training and practice to craft our skills and ministry. (1 Chronicles 15:22) God will honor our practice and preparation.
o The goal = EXCELLENCE.
COMMITMENT:
o Worship Team members should be actively involved at CCC and dedicated to our vision and leadership. This commitment should be expressed through faithfulness in prayer, regular attendance, and tithes/offerings.
o Commit to weekly rehearsals.
o Worship team members must be mindful we are representing CCC in everything we do on and off the platform. Treat others warmly, live generously, and be aware of how you represent yourself in interpersonal communications and on social media (1 Corinthians 10:31)
