The Music Ministry at Christ Covenant exists to lead people into the presence of God through musical praise and worship. We believe that true worship is Spirit-led and biblically-informed (this is one of our non-negotiable values – see John 4:23-24). This means we should look to the scriptures for guidance on how we are to worship, and allow the Holy Spirit guide us into worship. Musical praise can and should usher us into the presence of the living God. Once in His presence, our only response is to give Him adoration and exaltation – often through hymns and spiritual songs. We believe that an encounter with God during worship is an experience that can change the way we walk, the way we think, and the way we act towards each other and those outside the church. Because of this, we take on the responsibility of leading God’s people into His presence with all humility and diligence.
Our Team
The Music Ministry is made up of worshipers who feel called to use their musical talent and ability to help lead others into worship. We require all members of the team to be spiritually mature, of high character, faithful, teachable, and willing to grow in their God given talents. We seek musicians who are humble and broken before God and have a heart to worship Him fully. As a team, we value our unity and our relationships with each other. While we take our task seriously, we try to have fun together as we practice and worship God together.
